It’s been a few weeks since I posted. I’ve had a post I’ve been planning for a couple months, but can’t seem to write it. I realized I should set that idea aside and at least write something!
I’ve been having a hard time going on walks the last few weeks. In June some knee pain and swelling returned after being gone for a few months. Also I got a whole bunch of bug bites in a short amount of time. Those 2 factors combined made me decide to pause my walks for 8 days. Unsurprisingly I managed to break my daily walking habit with that pause. During the whole month of July I only walked 8 days.
My knee swelling has not improved and reached a point where even walks were uncomfortable or painful. Today I was finally able to go on one of my usual loops and came across some lovely flowers in someone’s front yard. I took a few photos and here is my favorite.

I am also offering up a photo of a rainbow that I took through the windshield of our car on the way back from visiting my partner’s father and sister on August 7. (Or as a new friend dubbed them: my kind-of in-laws!)
