Greetings new reader!
I am so glad and honored that you are here.
I started this blog in August 2025. I introduced it to the world of my friends via a Facebook post in mid-September 2025. For anyone who joined me on this autobiographical journey at that time, it has hopefully been a pretty logical and smooth journey through my life and thoughts.
But it occurred to me that anyone who joined at any point afterwards might feel like they were playing catch up. And I never want anyone to feel out of the loop or behind.
So I’ve created this page for you!! This is my attempt to orient you to this virtual space that I have created.
The main storyline for my blog has been the one about my Brain Grape. So I’ve created this page with all my initial Brain Grape posts in chronological order (link). If you would like to get caught up on that storyline I would suggest visiting this page: https://jesuisicihereiam.org/category/brain-grape/?order=asc
Most other posts should stand on their own. Meaning you can pop in and read them and pop back out for a while, and return and hopefully you can follow my flow.
If there are any posts that should be related I will plan to include links.
In addition to the story of my Brain Grape and my subsequent surgery, I also plan to write more about my mental health history as well as my history of medical trauma and how those have influenced my life and created a lens through which I view the world.
My underlying goal for this blog is to encourage both myself and readers to be fully present in the moment. Even if you can only be present for the minutes it takes to read each blog post, acknowledge the accomplishment of being fully present and engaged with what you were reading. I will attempt to end most posts with some grounding statements. Feel free to read them aloud to yourself or just say them in your head. Overall I aspire to spread love and compassion and mindfulness to everyone who reads my posts.
I know these are lofty goals. And yes I am just one person. What I want everyone to understand is that I recognize that I cannot cure or fix the world with one little blog. But my hope is that I can remind you that you do have the power and agency within yourself to find even a few seconds of peace in the chaos of the world.
Even if all that you have the energy and strength to do is say:
I am here.
I am now.
I am safe.
💜💜🌍🌍💜💜
May all beings be safe
May all beings be happy
May all beings be healthy
May all beings have peace
May all beings give and receive love and compassion
May all beings be free
